Trying to expand myself in several directions as I delve father into my artistic goals and practices, I have downloaded a few things to try out for myself and a little something for anyone else if interested. First thing I'd like to discuss, I know SAI has been a popular program amongst young inspiring artists and is of easy use and good quality works. However, it isn't used widely amongst employers. So mastering the program will not be of use when a company only wants you to use specific programs and SAI isn't one of them (best not to put all your eggs into one basket). Since I clearly have a strong love of digital painting, I intend to practice and use the program best known for that and IS used by large companies. Corel Painter, now I do not have the big nice one (as I am a broke college art student) but the essential version was recently on sale and so I have put my money towards that. I have practiced a bit of it, like a lot of the uses I'm seeing from the different types of tools provided, and I think with a little experimentation with the blur tools and from what I have seen so far of their functionality, I do not think it would be a difficult adjustment for me to make into switching from SAI to Corel. Emphasis on "think".

Another thing I am trying to work out is the thing I don't post here or practice enough in my free-time, which is my actual major, animation. I hope to do some small projects towards that. To speak further on the animation aspects of things, I chose my college university based on my initial desire to work on animation specifically for movies. However, as I have begun to make a peek into the actual functioning of the industry of animation, the more I have come to realize the area of animation that I would prefer to work for isn't in movies or tv, but rather the video game industry. With that said, I have been sitting on the idea of starting a project in the back of my mind that would take a lot of my time but I would think to be quite rewarding. Of course I would start small. But that would be to look into the development of videogames. I know this can be done, a small group of my college friends who never made a game had started a promotional game for a contest that they produced quite quickly and I'd like to think it was of decent quality. It would mostly require me to find a program and study the coding aspect, but I could learn it. If I do make something I figure it would be best to start with a 2D interactive narrative style game. I often just look for different ways or platforms to further the development of this crazy story I've developed.

Thirdly, relating back to the title of this journal, I have downloaded a free streaming software and played with it a little. I have it working and connected to my twitch account. I am hoping to plan a regular schedule to stream both gaming and art works. I'm already planning on doing video games during week days and probably select a day on the weekends dedicated to artwork, that way I don't only bring in attention to the stream account but also it would get me to work on art more regularly, which is something I still need to work on. I wouldn't be able to pick definite times for every week ever as life is unpredictable, but when each week comes I will probably post the schedule times for the streams through the following week in an update here probably every Saturday. There I will give the title of my twitch account so you can check it out when I go live. I'd probably stream 2-3 days of gaming (not sure if I want to use a mic for that or not), then one designated day to streaming artwork. The art I'd stream would not be comic pages but most likely illustrative pieces I make on the side or other comic related content or school work. With that being said, no I have no given up on the comic, it is something I still plan to work on. I was slowly bringing myself back into the swing of things when this break came along and I was separated from the computer I usually do my artwork on. Then I downloaded Corel on my computer I have with me now, but stupid me left my cintiq at my college place thinking I wouldn't want it here. Why past me, why? As for games I would stream, it'd most likely be whatever I am into at the time. This would mean Overwatch, maybe a little League of Legends, right now I am playing a bit of Subnautica, I have typo man revised I got recently, there's also Civilization, the Sims Medieval, or you can watch me suck at Assassin's Creed.

One other thing I would like to talk about is the comic lineup and its newest edition. First there is Seven Heroes revolving around a young girl named Tessa, who is an average girl from Marnix who has to build the confidence to stand up and fight for her people, but is surrounded by friends who will protect her and support her along the way, but not without finding trouble from their enemies and amongst each other. The second story I have written a little bit of the start of, which will take place after 7 Heroes (but of which I may start part way through the 7 Heroes comic. It would most likely update monthly). This second story is The Sound of Silence, about a young lord who's mind is a little twisted. Obsessed with the idea of perfection, he finds the lower class to be ruining his vision of his perfect city. Unknowing of the magic he possesses, his own bitterness and hatred ends up infecting the people around him, including those he loves most. The only way to end the disease he's created, is to learn to let go of his hatred and twisted views. The Third story will kick on after 7 Heroes. The third story is Master and Apprentice (which is planned to update weekly), this story revolves around Jessica growing up as an apprentice to Viper, as well as her origin story. This third story would be the shortest of the main story arcs. The Fourth story is the biggest, to kick on after the end of Master and Apprentice, this is the Marnix story revolving around Tanya, a girl who was stolen from Earth as a child and raised under Master's command on Marnix. She will go through a journey working in Master's military under Resheph, to taking refuge with Alou, being welcomed to the Demons, then having to plead for her life from Yuki under the refuge of Diane in the Crystalline city. Amongst her travels, she will experience the many lives lived on Marnix and the different political standpoints of the countries until the truth of the history of Marnix begins to weave together. HOWEVER, there is also a 5th story!!! This one of which differs greatly from the other four and runs along the length of the Marnix series. That being said, I have switched to focus on it's development as well. Although this story I do not expect to be as long as Marnix, it will be decent in length. So I plan to update it a page per month. This newest story differs from the rest in that it does NOT take place on Marnix and follows the story of a women named Selina who escapes imprisonment and equips herself to fight off the Demons that seek to demean and belittle all humanoids. While on her journey of redemption she meets three other lost souls, through them she learns of her origin, her long lost parents, and of the name of this place she's entered. Having to come to terms with the information she learns, Selina would then have to prove her innocence through the sins of her own parents.

For this recent story, Selina, I am working out if I want to start it using comics or if I want to introduce the characters through the use of quick animations. The way I have started writing the story permits me to make the animations if I so desire to. With that in mind, I think I will proceed to try and start with animated introductions for the 4 main characters and one main villain as they appear for the story, Selina. If I am unable to pull it off, well, I'll just switch back to only using the comics (however I would prefer to utilize both).

Also, written versions of all of these things will be made. I would be updating for 7 Heroes novel parts, but I started writing the latest chapter on my other computer and did not have time to copy it on my USB and I do not wish to re-write what I have already written for it. Thank you.
